Tony Cascarino has told TalkSPORT that Nottingham Forest should sign Gareth Bale. Furthermore, he thinks the player should be desperate to join the Premier League outfit.
The Wales sensation is a free agent this summer after leaving Real Madrid. He spent seven years at the Santiago Bernabeu and helped the club claim five Champions League titles.
Bale is arguably the best Wales player to ever represent his country. Now, however, he’s facing a summer where he doesn’t know what comes next.
On Sunday, he starred for his country as they reached the World Cup for the first time since 1958. Wales Online claimed that he ‘simply oozed class’ during the win.
At 32-years-old there is still some life in Bale just yet. He will be a wanted man despite making just five appearances for Los Blancos during 2021/22.

Bale doesn’t need to play for the money anymore. He spent seven years earning around £600,000-a-week in Spain and now it’s all about getting sharp for the World Cup.
Forest will go in search of some new players ahead of their maiden campaign back in the top flight. The Reds won promotion recently by winning the play-off final.
Cascasrino thinks Steve Cooper’s style of play would make Bale a decent acquisition and he was defiant when quizzed on where Bale should go next..
He told TalkSPORT: “Nottingham Forest. I think obviously the way they play is very much based on being able to counter-attack really quickly. They have a really high tempo to their games.
“I would think that would be a good opportunity for him. I don’t think he’s a top-six player.”
Cascarino backs Forest for Bale and they could do a lot worse
Despite what Evangelos Marinakis claims, it would have to be viewed as a success next season if Forest can avoid relegation. It’s 23 years since the Reds last played a top-flight game and the league is strong next season.
Bale has been there and done it before with the Premier League. During his days at Tottenham, he made 237 appearances, scoring 72 goals and claiming 60 assists.
Those days of playing for a top-six club do look over but other Premier League clubs might fancy bagging themselves a big of a coup.

Enter Nottingham Forest.
If Cooper can convince his fellow countryman to join the City Ground, it’d be a seriously good signing. Indeed, he’s improved almost every player in last season’s squad since he joined in September.
Bale needs to build up his match sharpness ahead of the World Cup later this year. At Forest, he would play every single week and a move to the City Ground could really suit all parties.
