Stuart Broad is a huge Nottingham Forest fan and it seems that he is letting the rest of the England cricket team know all about it.

Forest have some very famous fans but Broad is always incredibly vocal about it on social media.

Sky Sports showed Broad repeatedly during the Championship playoff semi-final win over Sheffield United, sitting alongside Joe Root.

Broad was also at Wembley for the playoff final win last month, posting a photo outside Wembley whilst celebrating a ‘wonderful day’.

Broad has noted on Jamie Carragher’s ‘The Greatest Game’ podcast that he started supporting Forest in the era of Marlon Harewood, David Johnson, Michael Dawson and Andy Reid.

Now cheering on the likes of Brennan Johnson, Ryan Yates, Scott McKenna and Joe Worrall, Broad wears his Forest colours on his sleeve.

Much like all Forest fans, Broad likely can’t wait to start next season in the Premier League after more than 20 years away.

Yet it sounds like his England teammates are already sick of hearing Broad celebrating Forest’s promotion to the Premier League.

Broad is currently playing in England’s test match against New Zealand at Trent Bridge.

Teammate Chris Woakes is currently on commentary duty for Sky Sports as he makes his comeback from injury.

Speaking on Sky Sports (12/06), Woakes joked that Broad is letting everybody in the England camp know that he is a huge Forest fan after that win over Huddersfield Town.

Woakes, a lifelong Aston Villa fan, did admit that he is delighted to see Forest back in the Premier League.

“Stuart’s letting everyone know he’s a Nottingham Forest fan at the moment isn’t he?” joked Woakes. “It’s great to see them back in the Premier League and I’m chuffed for Stuart too,” he added.

Forest will take on Villa in the Premier League next season and you can imagine that Broad will be winding Woakes up as soon as the fixture list comes out.
