Nottingham Forest remain interested in Artem Dovbyk but now face fresh interest from elsewhere.

The Reds were linked with the player earlier in the window and journalist Ekrem Konur has reiterated Forest’s interest.

Now, Premier League rivals Brentford are keen; with Serie A clubs Bologna and Torino also eyeing a move for the talisman.

Dovbyk recently scored in a 3-1 win over Scotland which denied the Tartan Army the chance to play Wales for a place at the World Cup.

STRANGEST Contracts In Football | Anti-Arsenal And Nightclub Clause?!

The striker looks set to be on the move this summer following a standout season with SK Dnipro.

During the 2021/22 campaign, he scored 15 goals from 18 appearances and registered five assists.

Dovbyk is thought to be available for around £10 million, which looks like a steal given his credentials.

The player is only 25 and it doesn’t come as a surprise that he’s got teams queuing up to take a punt on him.

Dovbyk has started to come of age over the last 12 months.

He headed to Dnipro from Midtjylland where he didn’t enjoy the best of times.

The uncompromising Ukrainian scored just once in 22 appearances for the Danish side and didn’t do himself justice.

Forest are set to sign Taiwo Awoniyi before the weekend and it seems another striker will be targeted.

Forest want Dovbyk and he could be ideal

At £10 million the international striker could prove a steal for any club that chooses to pick him up.

Dovbyk has scored four times in 11 appearances for the national team but it’s his league form that caught the eye.

During the final six games of 2021/22, Dovbyk found the net eight times and really caught the eye.

As a result, it’s no coincidence that teams are trying to sign him and this could be a sensible signing for Forest.

Forest will have Awoniyi and Sam Surridge in their ranks; whilst Lewis Grabban has been offered a new contract.

With that in mind, it would hardly hurt to have another option in the squad and Dovbyk ticks a lot of boxes.
