Inter Milan are now interested in signing Arnaud Kalimuendo after the player rejected Nottingham Forest. According to Tuttmercatoweb, the Serie A outfit will now rival Leeds United for his signature.
The PSG striker spent last season on loan with Lens. He enjoyed a fine campaign having joined from the Parisian giants, scoring 12 goals in Ligue 1.
Forest tried to move quickly to sign Kalimuendo. The Reds had him scouted last season and hoped to add him to their ranks ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

The 20-year-old is viewed as a wonderkid. He typically operates as a striker but can play on the left-flank or as a number 10 and featured in all three positions last season.
Inter are going on the hunt for some new players of their own. Romelu Lukaku is set to join the club on loan from Chelsea but another striker is clearly being sought.
Kalimuendo has four PSG appearances to his name but it seems they’re now willing to sell him. The French champions hope to recoup £18 million for a player who has come through their academy.
With Forest now out of the picture, Leeds could be fighting a battle they can’t win too. Inter will have the lure of Champions League football next season and Kalimuendo will surely
Kalimuendo rejected Forest and he could be set for stardom
It might have been viewed as a risk for Kalimuendo when it came to rejecting Forest. However, it looks to have paid dividends for him with a European giant now keen.
Kalimuendo looks set for a bright future. He’s scored goals in a top European league and moving to Serie A would represent a step up in terms of competition.
The Reds would have loved Kalimuendo to come to the City Ground. He’d have been a very useful replacement for Lewis Grabban and at £18 million he’d have hardly broken the bank.

Inter could be an interesting move. With Lukaku re-joining from Chelsea, he could perhaps be forced into playing a backup role to start with at the San Siro.
As a result, he will have to grasp every opportunity that comes his way with both hands. If he does that, he could quickly become one of Europe’s best strikers.
