Fulham are set to make an attempt to sign Joe Rodon after links with Nottingham Forest emerged last month. According to Football Insider, the centre-back in firmly on the radar of the Craven Cottage outfit.
Rodon will be allowed to leave Tottenham this summer. He’s fallen way down the pecking order under Antonio Conte and wants regular football prior to the World Cup which takes place in November.
The 24-year-old moved to Spurs when Steve Cooper was in charge of Swansea. He cost the club an initial £11 million but now he could be on the move.
The youngster has played just 24 times for Tottenham. He’s at the age now where he will crave regular game time and ultimately a move will be on the cards.

Forest are now perhaps looking to bolster their ranks in other areas. Moussa Niakhate was signed last week and he complements as a nice group of centre-backs.
Last season, Rodon made just three appearances in the Premier League. Conte will want to push on again this season and the Wales international won’t be in his thoughts.
Fulham won the Championship last season. Marco Silva has been frustrated with a lack of transfer action and he’s now making a move to secure Rodon ahead of the big kick-off.
Nottingham Forest links with Rodon were accurate but they’ll surely move on
The Reds now have a wealth of quality in the centre of defence. Niakhate joins Joe Worrall, Scott McKenna, Steve Cook and Giulian Biancone in Cooper’s squad.
As a result, it does seem unlikely that Forest will look to move for Rodon. The Forest head coach does know him well but ultimately, he will now want reinforcements elsewhere.

The £24,000-a-week defender will be a useful signing for someone. Fulham do require some central defenders; with a couple of their Championship winning options not up to scratch.
Rodon might have been on Forest’s radar. The Cooper link makes it a logical piece of speculation but perhaps Niakhate has been idenitifed as a better option.
The Reds will hope they don’t live to regret this one. It will certainly be intriguing to see how Rodon does playing regular Premier League football for a full season.
