Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Southampton star Che Adams this summer, according to The Express. The report does claim, however, that it’s highly unlikely that the Premier League club will consider a sale.
Adams was born in Leicester and is starting to showcase his talent at St Mary’s Stadium. Last season he scored eight goals and claimed three assists as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team endured a bit of an inconsistent campaign.
The 25-year-old has an admirer in Steve Cooper. He’s desperate to get some more attacking quality through the door, having already added striker Taiwo Awoniyi during the summer transfer window.

Forest have lost Philip Zinckernagel and Lewis Grabban. As a result, there are some gaps to fill in the starting eleven and there really is no time to waste ahead of the big kick-off.
Adams rocking up at Forest does look unlikely. The report claims that it would take an irresistible offer to prise the player away from Southampton.
Forest are relaxed too. Although Cooper is a huge fan of the player, there is a concession that signing him this summer would be difficult.
This isn’t the first time that the Reds have been linked with Adams. Forest were keen to take him on loan in 2020 but he stayed put with the Saints.
Forest interested in Adams but a move looks unlikely
Although the £52,000-a-week player does tick a lot of boxes, Adams is unlikely to be moving to Forest this summer.
The player is very versatile. He can operate as a number 10 or as a centre-forward and ultimately that makes him perfect for Forest.

Adams is a lively player. He keeps things ticking over in the final third and perhaps crucially he does have Premier League experience.
Forest don’t have time to dwell though. If they’re adamant that Adams won’t be available this summer, they must quickly move on to their next target.
Getting the squad ready for the first game is paramount and more new recruits are desperately required.
