Orel Mangala will say his goodbyes to VfB Stuttgart and the Nottingham Forest target is set to decide his future next week, according to Bild.

The 24-year-old midfielder is a wanted man; with Crystal Palace and West Ham also monitoring his situation closely.

Mangala signed for Stuttgart in 2019 from Hamburg. He’s established himself as a sound midfielder and that’s attracted interest.

Forest added Lewis O’Brien to their midfield ranks yesterday but another central midfielder will definitely be on the radar.

During his time with the Bundesliga outfit, Mangala has scored three goals and registered 10 assists from 109 appearances.

The talented youngster is clearly set for a bright future.

Earlier this summer he was wanted by Manchester United, with Erik ten Hag viewing him as a cheap option for his midfield.

That interest does look to have wavered now and three other clubs are preparing to move for Mangala.

Forest have already seen one bid rejected but they could return with another bid for the player who is valued at £13 million.

Mangala hopes to have his future sorted in th next couple of days as he aims to stick some roots down ahead of the new season.

Forest target Mangala and now they have chance to swoop

If Forest could land one more midfielder, their business would near completion in the middle of the park.

O’Brien is a wonderful addition to the squad but the Reds could definitely do with another option to call upon.

Mangala is a tidy player who simply loves to get on the ball and pass it about.

He’s steady defensively and at 24, he ticks a lot of boxes from a Forest perspective.

Mangala is keen to move to the Premier League and as a result, the Reds now have a perfect chance to swoop for the midfielder.
