Nottingham Forest fancy signing Angelino but it looks like the RB Leipzig ace will be heading to Bundesliga rivals Hoffenheim instead.
Forest have already brought in two left wing backs this summer to try and overhaul the position.
Jack Colback did a job there last season but will be playing in midfield this term whilst loanee Max Lowe has returned to Sheffield United.
Harry Toffolo started there against Newcastle United on Saturday having arrived from Huddersfield Town this summer.
Omar Richards has also joined, but he is already out injured just weeks after joining from Bayern Munich.
Nottingham Forest fancy signing Angelino
That all means that Forest are back in the market for another left wing back.
There have been links to Real Betis ace Alex Moreno, but there is another Spaniard believed to be in the mix.
The Daily Mail report that Forest have now made contact to try and sign RB Leipzig ace Angelino on loan.
A loan deal would be perfect for Forest, adding another option whilst Richards is out without signing a long-term option there.
Angelino bagged 10 assists in all competitions last season and could provide an attacking thrust for Forest.

The Spaniard was twice signed and sold by Manchester City, so offering Angelino a Premier League return may not be a terrible idea.
Yet it looks like Forest will miss out because Angelino is now set for a move to Leipzig’s Bundesliga rivals Hoffenheim.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Angelino will join Hoffenheim on loan with an option for a €20million (£17million) permanent move in 2023.
Hoffenheim have just sold star left back David Raum to Leipzig and are now moving to sign Angelino to replace him after he was bumped down the pecking order by Raum.
That deal is set to be confirmed within days according to Romano and Forest will seemingly have to turn their attentions elsewhere.
