Nottingham Forest are now close to the signing of Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis, according to transfer guru Santi Aouna. The Reds have been chasing a new talisman all summer and now look to have their man.
Dennis signed for the Hornets last summer from Club Brugge. He cost the Hertfordshire-based outfit £3.5 million and fired 10 goals during his maiden campaign playing in the Premier League.
Now, he’s a wanted man. Several clubs are thought to have been monitoring the situation but Forest are the first club to place some money on the table.

Last season he proved a real menace for opposition defenders. Scoring 10 times during the first season in England is no mean feat and Forest will hope for a similar return.
It’s thought that Forest have offered £20 million. The deal will include some add-ons too, although it’s not known how that will be structured at this stage.
Forest would be signing a player that Michael Owen has endorsed previously. Last season, he called the £27,000-a-week player ‘excellent’ following a goalscoring performance against Aston Villa.
Forest close to Dennis signing and supporters will be buzzing
This will be a signing to delight the club’s supporters. A new striker has been sought for some time at the City Ground and Dennis will rival his compatriot Taiwo Awoniyi for a place.
This is a steady addition to the Forest ranks at the money being quoted. The Reds have been active this summer but this will be one of the more eye-catching additions among the fan base.

Dennis is all-action. He never gives defenders a minute to breathe and he’s also capable of adding goals to his game, as showcased last season.
Forest are now nearing the completion of their squad. Still, another two or three might be added and it looks like being an exciting end to the transfer window.
