Nottingham Forest want Hans Hateboer as another raid on Serie A side Atalanta is considered this summer.
Forest have already pounced to sign one Atalanta star by luring midfielder Remo Freuler to the City Ground.
There have also been linked to Atalanta playmaker Ruslan Malinovskyi, but that deal now looks very unlikely to happen.
If you thought Forest had finished shopping at Atalanta for potential signings, you thought wrong…
Nottingham Forest want Hans Hateboer
That’s because Tutto Atalanta report that Nottingham Forest are chasing a deal for Atalanta star Hans Hateboer.
They claim that there is real ‘optimism’ between all parties that the deal will be agreed shortly, with Hateboer potentially following Freuler to the City Ground.
Hateboer, 28, has played all the way up the right flank during his time with Atalanta and would surely be viewed as a right wing back by Forest.
The Dutchman fits a similar mould to Freuler; both were fairly unheralded talents when they joined Atalanta, but became stars under Gian Piero Gasperini.

Hateboer has notched 10 goals and 19 assists in 195 games for Atalanta, becoming a mainstay over the last five years.
Yet with just two years left on his contract, Atalanta are now seemingly open to cashing in before Hateboer’s value diminishes closer to his 30’s and closer to his contract ending.
Forest may now be ready to swoop in with an offer, viewing Hateboer as the ideal competition for Neco Williams at right wing back.
Adding another option there seems to be a priority for Forest, especially having allowed the rarely-seen Richie Laryea to rejoin Toronto FC on loan.
Hateboer fits the bill and the prospect of him teaming up with Freuler once again may just make a move to Forest all the more appealing to the former Groningen man.
