Nottingham Forest could look to offload Cafu and Jack Colback before the transfer window closes, according to Sky Sports.
This news will come as a bit of shock, with Colback starting the first game of the 2022/23 campaign and Cafu featuring against West Ham from the bench.
Forest were promoted last season after they defeated Huddersfield 1-0 in the play-off final at Wembley.
Colback was instrumental in Steve Cooper’s team, often filling in at left-back with Max Lowe injured more often than not.
Cafu wasn’t quite so frequent in the team, although he’s proved a useful player to have in the squad.

Both players will be out of contract in the summer of 2023 and perhaps both could benefit from regular football.
Forest have signed Cheikhou Kouyate, Remo Freuler, Lewis O’Brien and Orel Mangala this summer.
The Reds also have Ryan Yates in the squad and Cooper is blessed with several midfield options.
Even if both players were to leave, the squad would be well-stocked in the engine room and as a result, it’s perhaps not much of a surprise.
The pair are at the age where they need to be playing first-team football and Cooper will need to offload some players.
It’s also claimed that Harry Arter and Lyle Taylor are free to find new homes; whilst Loic Mbe Soh and Oliver Hammond will be allowed out on loan.
Forest could look to offload Colback and Cafu
The Reds have added 16 new players to their ranks and ultimately, they will now need to get some out of the door.
Cafu and Colback would be surprising to a certain degree but a glance at the bigger picture perhaps tells the full story.

Forest would be able to get a bit of cash for the pair right now, rather than lose them for free this time next year.
Both players have a good level of experience and are good people to have in the dressing room.
Playing football is paramount for both players though. As a result, perhaps Forest won’t stand in their way they have an opportunity to play regular action.
