Nottingham Forest v Tottenham: What’s the story?

Tottenham are welcome to the City Ground for a Premier League contest for the first time since the 1998/99 campaign.

The Reds will hope that the City Ground is rocking again much like it was when West Ham visited earlier this month.

Tottenham will provide the sternest test that Forest have faced all season with genuine world-class players in their squad.

Forest knew that this was going to happen in the top-flight, however, and they will relish the test.

Steve Cooper’s men have taken four points from their opening three games of the campaign.

That isn’t a bad return to say they’ve faced Newcastle, West Ham and Everton in their opening three fixtures.

Forest will look to attack Spurs this afternoon and anything they can get will be an absolute bonus for the team.

Tottenham are unbeaten during 2022/23 and Forest will face Antonio Conte’s team when they are full of confidence.

Cooper has defied the odds before though and he will look to claim a massive scalp this afternoon.

Broadcast details

Today’s game is live on Sky Sports and is the second game of Super Sunday.

Wolves take on Newcastle in the first game, with Forest taking centre stage afterwards.

As always, the game will be live on BBC Radio Nottingham, with Colin Fray on commentary.

Renan Lodi presentation

There is hugely exciting news for Forest fans today as it looks like a new signing will be presented ahead of kick-off at the City Ground!

Fabrizio Romano reports that Atletico Madrid ace Renan Lodi has now agreed to join Forest on loan with an option to buy.

The Brazilian will play as a left wing back for Forest and Romano claims that he will be presented to Forest fans on the pitch this afternoon.
