Nottingham Forest finally look set to land Loic Bade after Rennes secured a breakthrough with a replacement.
The Ligue 1 outfit are set to sign Christopher Wooh from Lens and once the formalities are completed, Forest will get their man.
Bade has spent his entire career playing in France and now he’s set for a Premier League switch.
The 22-year-old has been signed on the back of a start to the season that has seen Forest ship 11 goals in five matches.
It’s anticipated that Bade will now complete a move to the City Ground, with journalist Fabrice Hawkins claiming the deal is done.
The central defender has made three appearances for the France under-23 team and looks like an exciting talent.
Bade is quick, strong in the tackle and last season he made 21 appearances during his maiden campaign at Rennes.
Forest look set to announce their new defensive recruit prior to the deadline. Once signed, he will hope to join the squad quickly.
Naturally, Bade will be an unknown quantity to many but this signing does seemingly tick a lot of boxes.
Forest set to land Loic Bade
This could be an inspired signing. It may well have been Dane Murphy that has pulled the strings with this one.
Bade is an exciting young talent and he will initially join on loan with Forest holding an option to sign him for £12 million.
Forest will hope that he can bring something to the defensive unit that isn’t already there.
If the Reds are to stay in the division this season, they will need to shore up and the hope will be that Bade can help with that.
