It’s not clear at this stage whether the deal will be temporary or permanent but Batshuayi looks like a useful addition.

The Belgian signed for the Blues in 2016 from Marseille. Since arriving at Stamford Bridge, he’s spent time on loan at several clubs.

During his time at Chelsea, he’s made 77 appearances, scoring 25 goals and claiming six assists.

Furthermore, the player has scored 25 times for his country, collecting 45 caps playing for Belgium.

During his time in charge of Chelsea, Frank Lampard called the striker ‘quality’, heaping praise on his finishing qualities.

More recently, the 28-year-old scored 14 goals and claimed five assists from 42 appearances for Besiktas on loan.
