Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper has made an intriguing claim ahead of tonight’s transfer deadline.
After being quizzed by the media he was asked about any potential business that the club might look to do today.
Cooper said he doesn’t think there will be too much in the way of incoming deals but he did confirm that some players could leave.

He told BBC Radio Nottingham: “If there is any incoming business, it’s only going to be a couple…and I think there will be players leaving today.”
Given that Forest could have signed 21 new players by the time the window closes it seems natural that some will be deemed surplus.
Alex Mighten was the latest to leave on loan, joining Sheffield Wednesday for the season after failing to win a place in the team.
Several others have also gone out this summer, including Brice Samba, Joe Lolley, Jonathan Panzo and Braian Ojeda.
Forest will have other players who won’t feature much during the 2022/23 campaign and today could be a big day for them.
Cooper makes interesting admission and which players could leave?
Cafu and Lyle Taylor look to be right at the top of the list when it comes to deadline day departures.
Taylor has been left out of the squad for three games running now and finished the last campaign on loan at Birmingham.
For Cafu, it might be somewhat sad to see him go not least because he has a decent amount of influence in the dressing room.

He has been left out of the last three squads in the Premier League too, although he did play 86 minutes against Grimsby in the cup.
Other options for departure are open to discussion. Loic Mbe Soh is now way down the pecking order, whilst some younger players may head out to play regularly.
Forest now have a plethora of talent and with a 25-man squad to be named there will naturally be some tweaking to be had.
