Nottingham Forest have been backed to defeat Bournemouth by pundits Paul Merson and Chris Sutton.
The Reds have won just one of their opening five games, although they have played some top sides.
Forest defeated West Ham in their maiden home game back in the Premier League but lost to Tottenham last weekend.
On their travels, results haven’t been good. Two defeats at Newcastle and Manchester City came either side of a credible point at Everton.
Forest are learning though and they will fancy their chances tomorrow on home soil.
Bournemouth parted company with Scott Parker earlier this week and they could be low on confidence going into tomorrow.
They did claim a credible draw against Wolves on Wednesday night, whilst Forest were losing 6-0 at Manchester City.
Forest backed by Merson and Sutton
Someone had better check on the duo because they’ve actually said they fancy Forest!
In fairness to Sutton, he backed the Reds to lose 6-0 in midweek and that proved a correct prediction.
Merson has yet to choose Forest to get a single point during the current campaign.
He has, however, said that he thinks Forest have played well in his latest Sportskeeda comments.
Merson claimed: “Forest have brought in so many players, and it’s going to take time for them to gel as a team. I like the manager, but he now has a massive task on his hands.
“If Forest play like they have done so far in the Premier League, they’ll do well this weekend.
“Forest are the better team at the moment and should win this game.”
Sutton also thinks the Reds will claim a big three points against the Cherries and praised Forest in his BBC Sport column.
He said: “I’m still worried about who will score the goals for Bournemouth and I think Forest at home will edge this one.”
There isn’t really such thing as a must-win game, especially in September but this does feel sizeable.
Bournemouth have a point fewer than Forest so far this season and it doesn’t really worth thinking about a defeat tomorrow.
Forest will hope that Merson and Sutton are proved right this weekend.
