Death, taxes and Chris Sutton predicting Nottingham Forest to lose a game in the Premier League.
The BBC Sport pundit has a record of backing the Reds to lose and he’s not made an exception this weekend.
Forest take on Fulham at the City Ground tomorrow night looking to right a few wrongs from their last game.
The Reds lost 3-2 to Bournemouth despite leading 2-0 at half-time against the Cherries.
Now, Sutton thinks that particular result will have a detrimental impact on Forest tomorrow night.
He also thinks Aleksandar Mitrovic will run riot, with the player already notching six goals in as many games this season.
Marco Silva has called his striker ‘unbelievable’ in the past and his form has certainly helped Fulham to a strong start.
Sutton has predicted a 2-0 win for Fulham tomorrow night, saying in his BBC Sport column: “This is a massive game for Nottingham Forest. The manner of their last defeat could be damaging and we might find out how resilient they are here.
“Aleksandar Mitrovic scored twice when Fulham won this fixture 4-0 in the Championship last season. Forest fans won’t thank me, but I don’t think they’ll keep him quiet this time either.”
Chris Sutton predicting Nottingham Forest to lose is becoming a trend
In fairness to the pundit, he did predict Forest to lose 6-0 to Manchester City last month. On that occasion, he was spot on.
Sutton does seem to enjoy taking a swipe at Forest and the disrespect has been evident in every column he’s done this season.
It would perhaps be wise for the Reds to try and draw some inspiration from these and ram some of his words back down his throat.
Forest need to come up with a response tomorrow and two weeks since the last game will have seen the Reds have plenty of time on the training ground.
This week, they will hope that Sutton is wrong when it comes to one of his predictions about the Reds.
