Nottingham Forest chose not to renew the contract of Tobias Figueiredo during the summer and the defender signed for Hull City.
On Saturday he was part of a video nasty as the Tigers were battered 3-0 by Swansea City on their travels.
The result has piled the pressure on Shota Arveladze, with the Georgian boss now clinging to his job by a thread.
Figueiredo has been instrumental at the heart of Hull’s defence this season and is clearly relishing his new challenge.

The player filled in well for Forest last season. Steve Cooper never really saw him as his first choice but he never let anyone down.
Figueiredo has 10 appearances for his new club and after a decent start, they’ve now lost four on the spin.
On Saturday, he was part of a howler that will likely be shown on blooper reels for years to come.
It wasn’t entirely his fault and goalkeeper Nathan Baxter will have to take a large share of the blame too.
With Figueiredo looking to clear the ball from his own penalty area, Baxter clipped the heels of the Portuguese defender.
That felled the former Forest man and allowed Luke Cundle to roll the ball into an empty net.
Figueiredo signed for Hull and he could soon have a new manager
The Reds were right not to offer the defender a new deal, especially after the club won promotion to the Premier League.
Figueiredo has been playing at centre-back with Jacob Greaves and the pair have struck up a steady partnership.
Ultimately, Hull now have an ambitious owner and Arveladze will need to revive the club’s fortunes quickly.

The Tigers signed some seriously talented players in the summer and as a result, there will be an expectation.
Figueiredo is a sound Championship performer and it’s good to see him getting plenty of game time for Hull.
Now, he will hope to quickly get over his latest error and get Hull back up the Championship table.
