Nottingham Forest will play a friendly against Italian outfit Palermo during the international break, Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed.
Furthermore, the Reds will also share their training ground with the Serie B outfit on Friday of this week.
Forest haven’t enjoyed a good start to life back in the Premier League after 23 years away from the division.
The Reds have claimed just one win and are currently on a run of four losses in succession.
After signing 22 new players during the summer transfer window, team cohesion is likely to be a work in progress.

As a result, perhaps a pre-season friendly against decent opposition isn’t such a bad thing for the Reds to arrange.
Palermo have made an ordinary start to their own season; winning two, drawing one and losing three of their opening six fixtures.
The arranged game will be behind closed doors and it could prove very useful to Cooper.
With several players to try and blend into his squad, it will allow plenty of players the chance to get some minutes under their belt.
Forest have to start picking up points and quickly. Only Leicester sit below them in the league table and that simply won’t do.
Forest make friendly with Palermo
This is ideal preparation for the Reds as they prepare to face an East Midlands derby contest against Leicester.
Forest have to get some game time into their new squad and this will be a great opportunity.

Some players naturally won’t be available. Several key players are away on international duty and it won’t be a particularly strong team.
Still, it will give some fringe players the chance to play a game against an opposition that will provide a test.
Forest can’t go on losing games and it would appear they’re leaving no stone unturned in their quest to revive their fortunes.
