Nottingham Forest striker Emmanuel Dennis has endured a frustrating start to the 2022/23 campaign and now he’s been ruled out of international duty.
Dennis cost Forest £20 million from Watford in August. He’s yet to win a start in the Premier League and has played for just an hour in total.
The 24-year-old has now suffered another setback and it remains to be seen just how serious it is.
Early reports claim that it’s nothing major and Steve Cooper will certainly want all the firepower he can get in the coming weeks.

Forest are rooted inside the relegation zone having collected just four points from their opening seven games.
Dennis signed for Watford during the summer of 2021 from Club Brugge and scored 10 goals in his maiden campaign.
As a result, it’s perhaps something of a surprise that he’s not had a proper chance at Forest just yet.
The Reds have scored six goals during their seven games this season and more will be needed.
This is a real blow for Dennis who only got a late call-up himself; replacing the injured Henry Onyekuru over the weekend.
Dennis ruled out of international duty
It’s not clear at this stage how long Dennis will be ruled out but the hope will be that it’s not long.
The ex-Watford striker will be desperate to prove himself to the Reds fan base and earn a start in Steve Cooper’s team.
Dennis looked an eye-catching signing in the summer, especially given his form last season.

Taiwo Awoniyi scored another goal on Friday night and he looks like he’s beginning to settle on Trentside.
He will need support in sharing the goal burden, however, and Dennis has the ability to provide that.
Forest now face an anxious wait to discover just how many games their striker will miss.
