The ratings for the Nottingham Forest players on FIFA 23 were released over the weekend and there are some surprises in store.

It’s that time of the year again. Gaming nerds are gearing up for all-nighters as they prepare to play the new edition of the long-serving video game for hours on end.

The FIFA release has been a date marked on the calendar by game boffins for many years. Now, the game is more realistic than ever and fans will hardly be able to contain their excitement.

With the new release just 10 days away, we’ve taken a look at who FIFA have named as the best Forest players in their squad.

Nottingham Forest FIFA 23 player ratings released

1. Renan Lodi – 80

The Atletico Madrid-owned player is the best player within Steve Cooper’s squad, according to FIFA 23.

He checked in on loan back in August and has been busy making his mark on the team.

He’s played the last three games for the Reds and is slowly starting to get up to full speed.

Lodi has been called up by Brazil for the friendlies against Ghana and Tunisia.

Right now, it looks like he will remain as the team’s number one left-sided wing-back.

2. Remo Freuler – 80

The former Atalanta player made a £7.5 million switch to the Premier League earlier this summer.

He has started just twice in the Premier League so far and will perhaps need a settling-in period.

Freuler has the experience of playing in a top European league and the Champions League though and he should come good.

3. Dean Henderson – 79

This one doesn’t come as a surprise given that he’s actually a Manchester United player.

The Reds did superbly well to sign Henderson on loan this summer and he was recently called up to the England squad.

This month, the United man has won his place back in the England squad and he’s saved penalties from Declan Rice and Harry Kane this season.

4. Moussa Niakhate78

The man recently called up by Senegal is in at number four according to FIFA 23.

Getting the defender back on the pitch could help the Reds revive their form and stop the rot.

His hamstring injury does look to be on the mend and Forest will hope he’s fit enough to play against Leicester next time out.

5. Jesse Lingard – 78

Forest stunned English football when they persuaded Lingard to sign a one-year contract at the City Ground.

The man with 32 caps for England is still striving for consistency but he’s so far shown glimpses of what he’s capable of.

Lingard has done okay when called upon but there will be more to come from the player.
