Nottingham Forest striker Lyle Taylor has claimed that Manchester City striker Erling Haaland should be given the Ballon d’Or already!

The Reds talisman made the claim during yesterday’s 6-3 win for City over Manchester United.

Haaland scored a hat-trick during the game as they blew their rivals away in devastating fashion.

The 23-year-old City star has taken to the Premier League with ridiculous ease.

He has now scored three home hat-tricks in succession, including one against Forest back in August.

Haaland is on course for a remarkable goal-haul in his maiden Premier League campaign.

He’s found the net 17 times in just 11 appearances for the club and should smash the record if he stays fit this season.

The Leeds-born star cost City just £50 million from Dortmund in the summer.

He’s looking like a real piece of business by Pep Guardiola and naturally, he will be delighted with his purchase.

Haaland is the most feared marksman in world football right now and might need to clear his mantlepiece for more match balls this season.

Taylor has claimed Haaland should win Ballon d’Or

The Forest striker has plenty of time on his hands to be watching live Super Sunday games.

Taylor wasn’t named in the 25-man squad by Steve Cooper, despite making the bench for the first two games of the season.

Still, the 32-year-old is a model professional and he will keep working hard on the training pitch in the coming weeks.

Shortly after the game yesterday, Taylor took to Instagram to post on his story regarding Haaland.

The forward thinks that accolades will be coming the way of Haaland over the next season, including the biggest of them all on a personal level.

He wrote: “Surely at this point, just give Haaland the Ballon d’Or.”
