The sister of Nottingham Forest promotion hero Djed Spence has taken a swipe at Tottenham boss Antonio Conte on Instagram.

Forest had Spence on loan during 2021/22 and he made 44 appearances for the Reds as they won promotion to the Premier League.

Spence became a real fan favourite at the City Ground but following promotion, he stated a desire to sign for Tottenham.

His dream move is quickly becoming a bit of a nightmare. He’s not playing football and despite Conte making five subs at the weekend, he still didn’t get on.

Spence has made just a single outing for Spurs so far, coming on for one minute in the 2-0 win over Forest back in August.

Admittedly, the 22-year-old will be on more money than he would have been at Forest but game time is so important.

He’s in real danger of regressing at Tottenham. Conte has even claimed since he’s been signed that adding him to the squad wasn’t his idea.

That can’t be particularly nice to hear whilst you’re trying to settle at a new club. Spence will be unlikely to feature regularly under the Italian and that is a worry.

The Reds performer was loved and worshipped at the City Ground. He gave his all in every single game and fans wanted to see him stay.

Nothing against Neco Williams and Serge Aurier but Spence would have added some continuity to the squad ahead of 2022/23.

Not Spence’s sister has taken aim at Conte following defeat to Arsenal in the North London-derby at the weekend.

Spurs were beaten 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium to taste defeat for the first time in the Premier League this season.

Spence’s sister shared the post from Tottenham confirming the final score and posted the caption: “Things could have been so different.”

She also included a shrug emoji, suggesting that Spence not getting on was frankly ridiculous.

Spurs made five subs yet they didn’t put on a man who tormented Arsenal in the FA Cup last season.

Following that game, Gabriel Martinelli labelled Spence as his toughest opponent to date and perhaps Conte did miss a trick.
