Steve Cooper will be given more time to turn things around at Nottingham Forest, according to 90Min.
Filippo Giraldi was appointed as the club’s sporting director yesterday and he’s persuaded Evangelos Marinakis.
The Greek supremo was considering a sacking after Monday night’s 4-0 drubbing at Leicester City.

Now, it seems as though Cooper will be afforded some more time to get things right, following a summer of upheaval.
The 42-year-old welcomed 22 new players into his ranks during the summer.
As a result, it’s perhaps obvious that any new manager is going to need some time to stamp their own ideas on the team.
With that in mind, sticking with Cooper seems to make perfect sense.
Naturally, football is a results-based business and obviously, improvements need to be seen.
Given the nature of the defeats in the last few weeks, a narrow loss that shows grit and determination would signal improvement at this stage.
Forest have rolled over in their last three matches and something needs to give soon.
Cooper given more time and this is a positive move
This is a great start to life at Forest from the newly appointed Giraldi.
The former Watford staff member has arrived at the club to freshen things up behind the scenes.
Giraldi’s first act will certainly go down well with the fan base, with the majority behind Cooper.

The 42-year-old has looked like a broken man in recent weeks.
Nothing hurts him more than seeing Forest lose games of football and his achievements last season should grant him time.
Now, Forest have to get the City Ground rocking on Monday night and three points is an absolute must.
