Nottingham Forest signed Josh Bowler in the summer and yesterday he enjoyed the performance of one-time target Jerry Yates.
The Reds plucked Bowler from Blackpool and immediately sent him out on loan to Greek champions Olympiacos.
He has been added to the ranks with one eye on the future and he’s trying to win a regular place with his temporary club.
Bowler played exceptionally well against Forest last season and the Reds fought off competition to sign him.
It was perhaps somewhat upsetting for some Blackpool fans that he was sold with just hours of the transfer window remaining.

He was signed for the Tangerines by Neil Critchley, scoring eight goals and laying on three assists in his first full season.
Bowler can play on either flank but is more effective cutting in from the left-hand side.
He will hope to get plenty of action with Olympiacos this season and then return to the City Ground to prove his worth.
Yesterday, a day off for Olympiacos meant that he was able to tune into live coverage of Blackpool’s game against Watford.
The Tangerines played exceptionally well. They claimed a somewhat surprising 3-1 win over the Hornets.
Gary Madine scored, whilst Jerry Yates scored twice in the final nine minutes to secure the points.
Bowler enjoyed Yates performance
The young winger took to Instagram after the win for Blackpool and he praised Yates.
It was in 2021 when the striker was linked with Forest; with Chris Hughton priced out of strengthening his strike force.
Yates didn’t get his move and he got his head down and became the main man during his time at Blackpool.

His brace yesterday saw the club claim a huge three points. It could kick-start the season for Michael Appleton’s men.
Bowler will hope to start for Olympiacos when they face OFI later today.
