Former Nottingham Forest coach Bruno Baltazar has told A Bola that he’s heard nothing from Hull City.
The man who was brought to the City Ground by Sabri Lamouchi has been linked with the vacancy.
Currently, he’s managing Rochester FC in the North East Conference of the MLS Pro Next.
It’s his first foray into management having undertaken a series of coaching roles at other clubs.
The New York-based club are an intriguing outfit as Leicester striker Jamie Vardy co-owns the American club.
They place emphasis on nurturing young talent and giving youngsters a platform to play first-team football.
Baltazar has been at the helm since December last season and it was their first campaign in MLS Next Pro in 2022.
It’s the coaching attributes of the 45-year-old that have alerted Hull towards potentially appointing him.
Right now, however, the Rochester incumbent claims he’s heard nothing from the Championship outfit.
He told A Bola: “So far, nobody has contacted me. I’m honoured to be one of the hypotheses, of course.
“It is true that I have experience of English football at Nottingham Forest, but for now they’re baseless rumours.”
Baltazar has heard nothing from Hull
The respected coach was part of Lamouchi’s backroom staff and he served Forest well during a year at the club.
It proved a sad ending for the French boss at Forest after their end-of-season heartache in 2019/20.
The Reds missed out on the play-offs despite holding a top-six position from Boxing Day until the final day of the season.
Nonetheless, Lamouchi brought back a feel-good factor to the City Ground and Baltazar was part of that.
There is a notion that he might be somewhat inexperienced when it comes to taking the Hull job.
The Tigers spent well in the summer and perhaps a more experienced manager is required to lead them towards promotion.
