Does anyone get the impression that Chris Sutton isn’t a fan of Nottingham Forest?
As a Nottingham-born ex-player, was he a Notts County fan? Maybe Forest rejected him as a youngster.
One way or another it would appear that Sutton has a problem with Forest.
The pundit has replaced Mark Lawrenson this season as the man to provide BBC Sport with Premier League predictions.
Once again, he’s backed Forest for a defeat this week. at Wolves.

It’s not even the constant prediction of backing Forest to lose that riles, it’s the fact that he always sticks the boot in.
This week, he’s backed Forest to lose 2-0 at Molineux.
But, perhaps more bizarrely he’s claimed that Forest were lucky to get a point against Aston Villa.
That’s despite taking the lead and having the two best chances of the second half.
Football is a game of opinions but it just seems as though Sutton can’t bear to say anything positive about Forest.
This week he told BBC Sport: “Wolves are managerless but they have some good players, who have not been playing anywhere near to the levels we know they can.
“They are in the bottom three but I look at them as a team who are not fulfilling their potential.
“That’s not really the case with Nottingham Forest, who I thought were fortunate to get something out of their game with Aston Villa on Monday.
“Forest’s new signings haven’t clicked and they’re a team who are probably starting to doubt themselves a little bit.”
Sutton isn’t a fan of Forest
To say the players are starting to doubt themselves is an insult to Steve Cooper.
He simply won’t let that happen and the players didn’t look like a group that doesn’t believe on Monday night.
Forest have to start winning and right now things don’t look great.

Still, they stopped the rot against Aston Villa and that does bode well for the next few games.
Forest now have a foundation to build from.
If the Reds can claim a big win tomorrow, maybe Sutton might say something positive about Forest the next time he does his predictions.
We won’t hold our breath on that though…
