Nottingham Forest Women defeated Derby County 3-0 at the City Ground and Andy Cook has reacted on Twitter.
The Reds claimed a big victory in front of 5,082 fans – a record attendance in the Women’s Northern Premier Division.
Charlotte Greengrass scored twice and Niamh Reynolds also netted on a historic day on Trentside.
The Reds have been in fine form during 2022/23 and Cook has got his team playing some wonderful football.

To be honest, this wasn’t Barcelona, it was Derby County…
That said, this was the kind of win that saw Forest flex their promotion credentials in front of a strong crowd.
The City Ground opened its gates to welcome some ardent fans and hopefully, attendances can now improve.
Forest Women typically play their home games at Eastwood Community FC and good support is usually in place.
Seeing the team turn out at the City Ground is magnificent though.
Clearly, the players thrive on seeing the fans come out in their droves and today they’ve been the 12th man.
Cook is very clear in his approach and how he wants the team to play.
The players are buying into his methods and today’s win has put the team up to third in the division.
Cook reacted on Twitter after Forest Women win
Cook is very proud of his team after today’s memorable performance.
He will be delighted with his team’s efforts today particularly in the final third as they showcased a ruthless streak.
It was perhaps a shame that Forest conceded a goal late on but that’s only a minor gripe.
Derby can’t seem to buy a win over Forest at any level.
This season they’ve lost to the Reds at under-18 and under-21 level, with the Women now the latest to follow suit.
Cook was quick to take to Twitter after the win and he labelled the support as ‘phenomenal’.
