Nottingham Forest-bound star Gustavo Scarpa has told Placar that he never expected to be heading to the Premier League.
At 28-years-old, he will finally achieve his dream of playing in a top European league once the January transfer window opens.
Scarpa is a left-footed performer and he could bring some balance to the Forest attack once he’s added to the ranks.
The Palmeiras player has been in exceptional form during 2022, scoring 11 goals and claiming 14 assists.

In five years with the Brazilian top-flight outfit, he’s collected an impressive seven trophies.
The player is an outside bet to make the Brazil squad for the 2022 World Cup and he will currently have his fingers crossed.
His contract will be up at the turn of the year and he’s now delivered an official statement ahead of his move to Forest.
He told Placar: “Since I was 11-years-old, (playing in the Premier League) was my biggest dream.
“I imagined that I would be to go to Europe because I had an Italian passport. But I did not imagine the Premier League. I imagined a smaller club from Spain, from Italy, something like that.
“I knew about Forest’s difficult situation. It will be difficult, but I want to breathe new air.”
Forest-bound Scarpa never expected Premier League shot
This looks like a useful piece of business by Forest, not least because Scarpa will be desperate to prove a point.
The Brazilian has waited a long time for this move and he will be determined to make a go of it.

Scarpa has been brilliant for Palmeiras over the last 12 months and they will miss his presence in the team.
At 28, the tricky attacker should arrive at Forest in his prime and he should be capable of having an impact in the Premier League.
