Dean Henderson has delivered a verdict on Nottingham Forest after they claimed a battling 0-0 draw at Brighton.

It wasn’t pretty by any means from a Forest perspective.

But, once again they showed solidity in defence and managed to keep a first clean sheet on their travels this season.

Forest have also moved off the bottom of the Premier League.

They managed to frustrate Brighton during the game and Henderson in particular produced a fine performance.

He made a few decent saves to keep the Seagulls at bay and this performance will give him a confidence boost.

After the game, he was quizzed by Amazon Prime on the game and one aspect impressed him greatly.

He said live on air: “I’m so proud of the boys tonight. Every single player was superb and I couldn’t be prouder of everyone tonight.

“To get the clean sheet is a massive confidence for not just me but also for the whole team.”

Henderson is right to laud the whole team but he’s far too modest.

Without the 25-year-old being in top form, the Reds would have been beaten on the south coast last night.

He made several stops with two of them in particular really decent saves.

Henderson is on loan from Manchester United and he can be proud of his latest performance for the Reds.

Verdict delivered by Henderson on Forest draw

They say slow and steady wins the race but Forest need to get clicking in the final third quickly.

This was another strong defensive display but ultimately Forest were rather toothless in attack once again.

Henderson is a decent goalkeeper and he’s come in for some harsh critique of late.

His distribution could be better but at Brighton, it was better, even if it didn’t always go to plan.

A clean sheet away from home definitely gives Forest something to build on and it will be interesting to see how the next four games go.
