Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp delivered a typically bitter response after Nottingham Forest stunned the Champions League finalists on Trentside.
Forest won 1-0 against Klopp’s team with Taiwo Awoniyi scoring the game’s only goal after 55 minutes.
Klopp watched from the technical area as Liverpool were outrun, out-thought and outplayed by a ridiculously good Forest.
Liverpool had seemingly turned a corner last week.
They defeated Rangers 7-1, then beat Manchester City on home soil before claiming all three points against West Ham in the week.
That had seemingly left Forest onto a hiding to nothing and some predicted a cricket score for Liverpool at the City Ground.
In typical Klopp fashion, however, he had nothing positive to offer towards the Reds.
Instead, he bemoaned his team and felt that he was perplexed at the outcome.
He told BBC Sport: “Honestly, I have no idea how we can lose this game. We are very low at the moment; as low as we can be.”
Forest became the first newly promoted team to beat Liverpool since 2017 and Liverpool have now lost three games this season.
The Reds were brilliant and this is a typical response from a manager known for having more excuses than a little.

Klopp can talk all he wants but Forest deserved to win yesterday.
It’s no surprise that the German manager has been bitter after the win, with the boss renowned for moaning.
Forest had as many shots at goal at Liverpool and also finished the game with a higher Xg.
Make no bones about it, Forest deserved these three points and it proved a memorable day at the City Ground.
Klopp can moan all he wants but his comments merely suggest he treated Forest lightly.
If you turn up in any game in the Premier League with the thought process that you only need to step off the bus, then it will bite you.
Klopp needs to learn how to get his team to perform and these comments are very stereotypical of a manager who simply loves to moan.
