Harry Toffolo and Emmanuel Dennis have lauded Nottingham Forest midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate after the Reds beat Liverpool.
The experienced player was excellent as Taiwo Awoniyi scored the game’s only goal after 55 minutes.
Kouyate was one of the final players to come through the door at Forest during a hectic summer of transfer activity.
The player was handed the task of keeping a star-studded midfielder quiet yesterday.

He played as the midfield battering ram alongside Remo Freuler and Ryan Yates in the engine room.
Kouyate was one of the stars of the show and although he tired late on, he was superb during his time on the pitch.
It’s not really a surprise that Kouyate is producing the goods at Forest.
He was an integral part of the Crystal Palace team last season and he boasts bags of Premier League experience.
Kouyate has played for the Eagles and West Ham in the top flight, making 267 appearances in the division.
Now, his experience could prove vital as the Reds bid to stay in the Premier League for next season.
Kouyate was withdrawn with 10 minutes to play yesterday.
He has now made six starts in the Forest team and he will hope to keep his place for the game at Arsenal next week.
Kouyate lauded by Dennis and Toffolo
Dennis was an unused substitute yesterday, whilst Toffolo is missing with a hamstring injury at the moment.
Both players were quick to rave about Kouyate for his performance during yesterday’s win over Liverpool.

Toffolo share just a single word, calling the 32-year-old a ‘legend’ after his impressive display.
The challenge for Kouyate is to look after himself and continue impressing Steve Cooper.
He’s in possession of the shirt right now and he won’t have signed for Forest to merely sit on the bench.
Kouyate was excellent yesterday and he looks like being a very important player over the next few months.
