Keinan Davis is worshipped by Nottingham Forest fans and yesterday he scored an acrobatic goal during a 4-0 win for Watford.

It was Chris Cohen who watched on from the opposition dugout; with Luton being put to the sword in the derby-day clash.

Davis continued his fine form by setting the Hornets on their way inside the opening three minutes.

The 24-year-old is busy trying to prove a point after Steven Gerrard chose to let him leave Aston Villa during the summer.

Davis has made a fine start to life at Vicarage Road and since Slaven Bilic arrived, he’s been in fine form.

He’s now scored four goals in 10 outings for his new club and he’s scored twice in his last three appearances.

Davis was a great loan signing for Forest back in January when the Reds took a chance on him.

His strength was a real asset in the Championship and he scored five goals from 22 outings at the City Ground.

Davis will hope to win promotion with Watford this season and then earn himself a genuine crack at Premier League football.

Yesterday, Luton had no response to the brilliance of Watford.

Davis’ goal after just three minutes set the tone and the Hatters had little in the way of a response.

Yesterday’s striker wasn’t particularly stereotypical of one that Davis might score.

After a beauty of a cross, Davis arched his body and scissor-kicked the ball into the Luton net.

It sparked pandemonium among the Watford fans, however, and gave the Hornets a lift-off on a big day for the club.

Bilic had overseen defeats in three of Watford’s last four games. As a result, it was important they got back on track.

Davis scoring is something that Forest fans will love to see.

Many fans believe that his brute strength has been missed this season on Trentside this season.

Forest’s loss is Watford’s gain, however, and Davis will hope to score plenty more goals during 2022/23.
