Neil Mellor has launched a bizarre Twitter rant at one decision during Saturday’s win for Nottingham Forest over Liverpool.
It’s not easy to tell that the former striker used to play for Liverpool.
He’s taken to social media to seemingly suggest that the referee missed something that wasn’t given in Liverpool’s favour.
Mellor thinks that referee Paul Tierney should have awarded Liverpool a penalty for a foul on Alisson.
It came during the closing stages of the game, with the goalkeeper heading forward to try and nab an equaliser.
Mellor believes that Tierney missed Ryan Yates attempting to rugby tackle Alisson and a penalty should have been awarded.
The former talisman must be the only man with this hot take in the world!
Tierney quite rightly awarded Yates a free kick after being pushed, pulled and then tripped by the clumsy goalkeeper.
Mellor didn’t agree though and he believes that Liverpool should have been awarded a late penalty kick.
This smacks of sour grapes from a man who openly supports Liverpool.
In a day and age where it’s trendy to bemoan match officials, Mellor has stayed true to form on this occasion.
Liverpool-supporting pundits are renowned for not taking defeats particularly well and here is a prime example of another.

Mellor is wrong too.
He’s shared three images to try and back up his claim and each one shows Alisson all over Yates.
Not only that, but on the video, it clearly shows the goalkeeper tripping the Forest midfielder from behind.
Mellor is clutching at some serious straws here.
Tierney had a tough game to keep control of and in large he did it pretty well.
Mellor is munching on some seriously sour grapes with his tweet from earlier today and he’s clearly not taken defeat at all well.
