Nottingham Forest have been dealt a devastating blow after Giulian Biancone sustained an ACL injury in training.
Steve Cooper has confirmed in today’s press conference that the French defender won’t play again this season.
Biancone arrived at the City Ground in the summer for a fee of £5 million.
He checked in from Troyes and has been waiting patiently for a chance to shine in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old is yet to start a top-flight game in England, making two appearances from the bench.

He did play the full 90 minutes in the Carabao Cup victory over Grimsby and has shown flashes of promise.
Biancone is a versatile performer and he’s been useful to have on the bench.
He can operate as a right-sided central defender or in the right-sided wing-back role.
The former Troyes man has shown some pace and ultimately that’s where Forest have struggled defensively this season.
With the next round of the Carabao Cup on the horizon, Biancone was expected to get another chance.
Now, his season has been curtailed and he will have to wait to prove himself to the City Ground faithful.
Forest dealt devastating Biancone blow
This is heartbreaking news.
The player was just getting to grips with life in England and Cooper had spoken fondly of him recently.
Biancone would have almost certainly played against Tottenham in midweek.
Some changes will be made for that fixture and the defender would have definitely been in contention.

Now, he faces a fight to get back to full fitness and given the severity of his injury it looks like a long road back.
Forest need all the defenders available they can get.
They have a goal difference of -20 already and Cooper must have been considering some changes to his team.
Biancone is young and this injury will hopefully be a mere setback on his path to the Forest senior ranks.
