Nottingham Forest-bound Gustavo Scarpa has missed out on the Brazil squad for the World Cup in Qatar.
The versatile forward has only played once for the national team and it’s perhaps not a surprise.
Scarpa enjoyed a fine season for Palmeiras though, helping them claim another top-division title.
The man who has agreed to join Forest was bang in form when it came to goals and assists.

The 28-year-old scored 12 times and also laid on another 17 in the way of assists for his teammates.
Scarpa has made over 200 appearances for Palmeiras in total.
He’s become a cult hero with the Brazilian giants and the club will be sad to see him leave the club.
Ultimately, Scarpa has held a long-term dream to join a European club though and will now get his wish.
It had originally been anticipated that he might join Olympiacos on loan but their Champions League exit scuppers that.
Instead, Scarpa will be heading to Forest where he will join Steve Cooper’s squad.
The Welsh head coach will welcome another attacking option, with the team struggling to score goals – particularly away from home.
Scarpa has now played his last game for Palmeiras.
His move to Forest has been finalised and he will link up with his new teammates in January.
Scarpa has missed out on the World Cup
It was always going to be tricky for the player to force his way into the ranks.
Brazil are blessed with a plethora of attacking quality and looking at the list makes it easy to understand.

The beauty of this decision means that Forest will be getting a well-rested Scarpa.
He could be a very useful addition to the ranks and as a left-footed option, he could bring something different.
Scarpa will be desperate to produce the goods in the Premier League.
He should get ample opportunity to prove himself at Forest and it will be intriguing to see how he copes in England.
