Gustavo Scarpa has broken his silence ahead of his move to Nottingham Forest during an interview with Andre Hernan.

The Brazilian journalist sat down with Scarpa following a title win for Palmeiras which was confirmed last week.

Forest might have completed a real coup by adding the 28-year-old to their ranks for the second half of 2022/23.

Scarpa enjoyed a brilliant season with Palmeiras and was unlucky to miss out on a place in the World Cup squad.

During the 2022 campaign, the left-footed attacker scored 12 goals and claimed 17 assists.

He showcased the versatility to play in a number of positions last term and will now head to Europe.

Scarpa is excited ahead of his move and clearly, he can’t wait to move to England and get going at Forest.

He told Andre Hernan: “It is a dream that will come true. I think that’s cool because that child thing is still alive inside of me.

“I’m very happy. Super excited.

“I know it’s going to be hard as hell in the Premier League itself but also the situation of the team I’m going to.

“But man, I’m really excited.”

This does look like an interesting signing, to say the least.

It was initially expected that he might move to Olympiacos but that move is now off the table.

That could be Forest’s gain and it will be interesting to see how Scarpa goes in the Premier League.

It has to be said that the player should be capable of making an instant impact.

He’s 28 and as a result, he has bags of experience to the point where he should be in his prime.

Scarpa has enjoyed a brilliant campaign in Brazil and he will arrive in confident spirits.

The player is clearly buzzing to be moving to Forest and it will be intriguing to see how he goes during the second half of the season.
