Nottingham Forest will rival West Ham and Bournemouth for New York Red Bulls captain Aaron Long in January.
According to TEAMtalk, the Reds are keen to add the USA central defender to their ranks after the World Cup.
Long has been chosen by his country for the forthcoming tournament and England are in his sights.

After the competition ends it seems as though he will be on the move, with Premier League clubs now keen.
Long has already collected 29 caps for his country and he will hope to add to those later this month in Qatar.
The beauty of signing the 30-year-old will be that he won’t command a transfer fee with his contract up in December.
Forest have already completed a pre-contract agreement for Gustavo Scarpa and now another low-cost deal is in their sights.
Long is a central defender and has been with New York Red Bulls since 2017 where he has worked his way up to become captain.
He has made 175 appearances for the MLS outfit but is now set to embark on a European adventure.
Forest will rival West Ham and Bournemouth for his signature but nothing will be decided until after the World Cup.
Forest to rival West Ham and Bournemouth for Long
This could be a useful signing, especially with Forest currently conceding goals at an alarming rate.
The Reds are in desperate need of a defender with a bit of pace and if Long can bring that to the table, it’d be ideal.

He would be checking in as an unknown quantity but he might just be a risk worth taking.
If he goes to the World Cup and stars then other clubs might emerge for him once the tournament is over.
At 30, Long should be in his prime and on a free transfer he definitely looks like a risk worth taking in January.
