Both teams will tonight hope to progress in the Carabao Cup and for Forest, they will be desperate to garner some momentum ahead of Saturday.
It’s no secret that the game at the weekend against Crystal Palace is bigger and the Reds will rotate accordingly tonight.
Tottenham were beaten against Liverpool at the weekend. Antonio Conte is a born winner and he will see this as a realistic trophy for his team to win.
Forest were held to a 2-2 draw on home soil by Brentford on Saturday in a game dominated by the officials.
The Reds can enjoy tonight’s cup clash without a great deal of pressure. Tottenham will come into the game as favourites and all the Reds can do is have a go.
It should be another decent crowd on Trentside as Forest look for revenge after a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham back in August.
Forest tried hard that day but came up against Harry Kane who reiterated why he’s one of the world’s best centre-forwards.
Dean Henderson also saved a penalty during that match to deny the Spurs star a hat-trick.
Forest must play on the front foot tonight and aim to put a smile on the faces of the supporters at the City Ground.
Tonight’s game isn’t televised but will be watched by one of Sky Sports pundits as part of a Soccer Special on Sky Sports News.
As ever the game will be broadcast live on BBC Radio Nottingham with a former Reds star joining Colin Fray for coverage from 6:30.
