Nottingham Forest were linked with Moise Kean during the summer but the striker rejected a move to the City Ground.

The striker is currently on loan for the second successive year with Juventus. Kean is on loan from Everton and they would have considered selling him during the transfer window.

Last night, Kean showcased exactly what he’s all about. He scored two goals as the Old Lady defeated Lazio on home soil in an entertaining Serie A clash.

The 22-year-old has now scored four times in 18 appearances during 2022/23. Still, he’s hardly a regular in the team, starting just seven times throughout the campaign.

Kean is doing his chances of more frequent football no harm though. His goals last night were well-taken and he offered his manager some food for thought.

The youngster is likely to remain on the radar of Forest. Steve Cooper will want to strengthen his squad once more in January and a striker could be on his list.

Forest made a sizeable offer to land the player from Everton. But, the player had no desire to play for a club that wasn’t considered ‘top tier’.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Kean. Juventus have an obligation to buy him for £26 million at the end of the season but it remains to be seen whether that means they will keep him.

It was always going to be ambitious to try and get this deal over the line. Kean is one of football’s burgeoning talents and he’s still trying to realise his vast potential.

Kean now looks to be fairly settled at Juventus. The fact he’s starting to find the net in big games is definitely a positive step in the right direction.

Forest are fighting a losing battle if they remain keen on the youngster. He earns £49,000-a-week and will want serious money to consider signing for Forest.

It’s admirable that Forest are continuing to show ambition with their recruits. Despite that, they may have to move on from Kean with the player now starting to hit form with Juventus.
