Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams has spoken of the moment he found out he was in the Wales squad for the World Cup in Qatar.
The Reds’ £17 million player has joined Brennan Johnson and Wayne Hennessey from the Forest ranks in the Wales squad.
Forest landed the player from Liverpool in the summer and he’s been pretty regular in the team since arriving.
Williams will be hoping to add to his 23 Wales caps in Qatar and he typically starts in Rob Page’s team.

The 21-year-old should be a mainstay in the team in the World Cup and he will hope to defy the odds with Wales.
Ahead of the tournament, Williams has been talking about the moment when he found out he was heading to the tournament.
He told BBC Sport: “When they announced it we had Spurs in the cup.
“I was on the pitch and Ben (Davies) came over and we had a quick look at it at the same time.
“You feel so much more relaxed seeing your name.”
Williams moved to Forest in the summer and he’s settled quite nicely at the City Ground.
He’s made 16 appearances during 2022/23 and Steve Cooper is striving to get the very best out of him.
Williams has spoken on the moment he found out about Wales call-up
The youngster is a talented individual and he could become public enemy number one at the World Cup.
Wales will take on England in their final group game and there could be a situation where they’re vying to knock them out.

Williams has been operating as a left-back for the national team.
Interestingly, he’s been playing there on a few occasions for Forest of late and that should put him in good shape.
Williams is still a young player and Forest will hope that he can enjoy a strong World Cup and come back to the club full of confidence.
