Morgan Gibbs-White has sent a two-word message to Nottingham Forest teammate Jesse Lingard on Instagram. The post came after the 29-year-old saw The Jesse Lingard Story: UNTOLD air on All 4.

The two Forest stars have struck up quite a rapport with each other. Some fans had suggested that Gibbs-White and Lingard couldn’t be chosen in the same team together but that doesn’t make sense.

Forest were brilliant against Crystal Palace last weekend. Interestingly, it was a performance that came despite Lingard and Gibbs-White both starting in attack and supporters are starting to see the best of both.

The Reds landed both players during a hectic summer transfer window. Forest signed Gibbs-White for a club-record transfer fee; with Lingard checking in as a stellar freebie to add some experience to the ranks.

The Forest pair are now growing in confidence. It proved a slow start for the Reds going forward, with Lingard in particular struggling to make his mark when he was given opportunities to shine.

It’s a complete myth that the duo can’t play alongside each other. Good players can always be made to work and thankfully, Forest are starting to reap the rewards of signing Lingard and Gibbs-White.

The Forest duo haven’t known each other for too long. It’s fair to say that the England under-21 star already looked up to the former Manchester United man as someone he can learn from.

With The Jesse Lingard Story: UNTOLD going live last week, Gibbs-White took to social media. He shared one of Lingard’s posts to his story and captions it with the words, ‘my inspiration’.

Hopefully, Forest can benefit from the pair more as the season progresses. As much as the World Cup is usually a great spectacle it’s a shame that the break has come now, with the Reds in decent form.

Gibbs-White and Lingard will now have a chance to take stock of their starts to life at Forest. The Reds will hope that both players come back refreshed and ready to continue their fine form.
