Yunus Musah is keen to leave Valencia during the January transfer window and Nottingham Forest simply have to revive their interest. The Reds failed with a bid of £25 million for the midfielder during the summer.

Now, Musah is a wanted man. His World Cup exploits with the United States have alerted a number of top clubs; with Liverpool and Arsenal thought to be seriously considering making a bid.

There is also serious interest from some Italian clubs. Inter, Juventus and Milan are all keen, with Valencia now valuing the player at almost £30 million following his form at the World Cup in Qatar.

Musah looks like becoming a real star of the future. He’s already made 81 appearances for Valencia and he could actually come up against Forest on Friday night when the two teams meet at the Mestalla.

The youngster operates as a central midfielder. He is an all-action type of player who fits the mantra of a box-to-box player and his energy makes him a constant menace to the opposition.

Musah is now willing to leave the La Liga outfit. With financial uncertainties surrounding Valencia, they could be left with no choice but to offload the young talent when the transfer window reopens.

Musah keen to leave Valencia and Forest must return

Ultimately, if Arsenal and Liverpool consider making a move, Forest could be struggling. The Reds, however, might have a secret weapon in their ranks when it comes to completing a deal for the player.

In Steve Cooper, Forest have a head coach that knows Musah very well. He played for the Forest gaffer for the England under-17 ranks and he clearly has a decent relationship with the midfielder.

That could give the Reds an edge when it comes to January. Musah would surely jump at the chance to move to the Premier League and he’d be guaranteed regular football at the City Ground.

Furthermore, Musah knows all about Cooper. Players have warmed to Cooper and his training methods in the past and the American star would probably welcome the chance to play under him again.

Signing Musah won’t be easy. With vast interest from top clubs, Forest might need to move quickly. If they do, however, they could be completing a huge coup and the Reds must act.
