Nottingham Forest are being strongly linked with a move for Sheraldo Becker, with Florian Plettenburg citing the interest.
Other clubs will be keen. The player has helped Union Berlin to fifth in the Bundesliga at the break for the World Cup.

The lively winger is a product of the very impressive youth academy at Ajax. He spent several years in Holland and played for PEC Zwolle on loan.
He made 38 appearances during that particular loan spell; scoring five goals and claiming seven assists.

In 2016, Ajax decided to cut Becker loose. They let him join ADO Den Haag on a permanent basis and he spent three years there.
In 95 appearances for ADO, he scored 13 goals and claimed 20 assists before earning a move to Union Berlin.
In Germany, he’s started to really kick on and he’s a respected member of the team that’s doing great things in the Bundesliga.
During the 2022/23 campaign he’s fired eight goals and claimed 14 assists for the Bundesliga outfit.
The 27-year-old is under contract with his current outfit until 2024.

The winger came through the pathway with the Netherlands youth ranks.
He made a handful of appearances from the U16 outfit all the way through the U19s.
Becker was called up twice for U21 duty but failed to get on the pitch on either occasion.
He seemingly felt that his hopes of playing for the senior Holland team were dwindling.
As a result, he’s now pledged his allegiance to Suriname, where he’s made five appearances and scored twice.
His two goals came in his debut for the country as they beat Bermuda 6-0.

Furthermore, he believes that he’s capable of playing on the wing or through the middle in a three-pronged attack.
German football journalist Manuel Veth has also called the player ‘incredible’ and ‘lightning quick’ at various points this season.

Omar Richards has been given the number 27 shirt that Becker wears at Union Berlin.
Number 17 is free, however, whilst 29 is also available to Becker should he join Forest.
Sheraldo Becker: The Verdict
This looks like the sort of deal that Forest should look to do.
It would appear that they’re interested and it will be very exciting to see whether Forest follow through with their interest.

The Reds do have a plethora of attacking options but some more pace wouldn’t go amiss in the final third.
Becker looks like a quick player and one who isn’t afraid to take players on when he’s called upon.
He’s unlikely to come cheap but Becker does appear to fit the profile of a player that would be targeted by the Reds.
