Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Nottingham Forest defender Loic Bade will sign for Sevilla imminently. The player will have his loan terminated at Forest and will join the La Liga outfit from Rennes.
This transfer has been bizarre from Forest’s point of view. In no way, shape or form does Steve Cooper look to have chosen to sign the defender given that he’s failed to play a single game.
He checked in on loan from the Ligue 1 outfit. It was deemed that he may add some pace to the Forest defensive unit but supporters are left wondering what he’s like having failed to see him in action.

Now, Forest’s loss looks to be Sevilla’s gain. He is in Spain undergoing medical tests and he’s expected to sign on loan until the end of 2022/23 when he will sign on a permanent basis.
Bade surely can’t have been any worse than Forest’s current options. All four of Joe Worrall, Willy Boly, Scott McKenna and Steve Cook have had eerie moments in the Premier League.
As a result, it’s perhaps a mystery why it hasn’t worked out for Bade. Now, he will hope to show Forest what they’ve missed out on by starring for Sevilla in La Liga for the remainder of the campaign.
The Reds need a central defender. Right now, they’re sleepwalking into the Championship and it seems crystal clear that the Reds need a reinforcement to be added defensively.
Bade will sign for Sevilla and Forest must get next signing right
This has been a truly disastrous signing for Forest. It remains a complete mystery as to why he’s not played for the club and it will be hoped that the Reds don’t rue that decision.

It does seem bizarre that one of the top clubs in Spain wish to sign him. If he was that bad, surely he’d be on the scrap heap with nobody willing to take him for the rest of the season.
Forest will no doubt monitor this one with intrigue. Bade will go down as one of the most bizarre signings in recent memory on Trentside. As a result, someone at the club could see their head roll.
