Nottingham Forest face Southampton this evening and the Reds have the perfect chance to run the rule over Che Adams.
Steve Cooper was linked with a move for the talisman during the summer and he’s proved a useful player for the Saints this season.
The £52,000-a-week Adams was kept at St Mary’s Stadium, despite heavy links with a move to Forest or Leeds during the summer transfer window.
Ralph Hasenhuttl chose to keep him at the club, however, and now Nathan Jones will hope to see him continue scoring goals.

Adams has bagged eight goals in all competitions this season and boy do the Saints need him right now.
The club go into tonight’s game sitting bottom of the Premier League and staring at a return to the Championship.
Appointing Jones hasn’t had the desired impact either. He’s overseen three straight defeats and something has to give.
Forest could get a fairly decent chance to run the rule over Adams during this evening’s clash against Southampton.
He looks almost certain to start the game and Cooper will be totally aware of the threat that he can provide.
Southampton could take the chance to overhaul their squad this month and that could lead to some departures.
They won’t want to lose Adams but with Mislav Orsic thought to be close to signing, there might be some room to manoeuvre.
Forest have perfect chance to scout Adams
Adams could prove a useful addition to the Forest ranks. Some years ago he was tipped for massive things and there is still some unearthed potential.
Cooper did take a look at the Saints man during the summer transfer window but a deal couldn’t be struck.

Adams could still be on the radar though. He’s unlikely to be near the top of a shortlist of targets but later in the window, it could be a needs-must situation.
At 26-years-old, he has bags of time left on his side. He is quick, scores goals and is also capable of playing in a number of positions.
Tonight could be the perfect chance for Forest to scout Adams and they will hope he doesn’t stick a dagger through their survival prospects.
