Nottingham Forest defender Loic Mbe Soh might not be heading to Guingamp after all. According to Ouest France, the Ligue 2 outfit are getting frustrated with the City Ground outfit.
Mbe Soh has been touted with a loan move back to France for many weeks. It was anticipated by Guingamp that the deal would be done by now as they seek to recruit a defender.
The young talent hasn’t played at all for Forest in the Premier League this season. He was on the bench for the first two games against Newcastle and West Ham; whilst he also played twice in the Carabao Cup.

His short-term future should definitely be elsewhere, however. At 21-years-old he needs to be playing regular football, having made just 12 appearances in over two years at Forest.
Mbe Soh’s future could be in jeopardy once again now, however. Guingamp claim they could move on and seek another option for their defensive ranks if things don’t speed up.
The latest report suggested they want something sorted this week. If it isn’t they could move on from the Forest man as they desperately bid to climb up the Ligue 2 table.
Mbe Soh signed for Forest as a promising teenager. Injuries have robbed him of a proper chance to get a settled spot in the Reds’ team and he will be keen to play regularly.
Mbe Soh might not be going Guingamp and that’s bad news
Forest need to do whatever it takes to get this deal over the line. It’s not ideal that he’s still on the fringes at the Reds and he needs to get a proper run of men’s football under his belt.

He’s way down the pecking order on Trentside and won’t be playing for the senior ranks any time soon. In recent weeks, experienced players like Scott McKenna and Steve Cook have been unused subs.
Mbe Soh won’t be feeling the benefit of development in under-21 football. Now is the time for him to step up and a move to play in Ligue 2 would certainly be ideal this month.
