Josh Bowler has joined Blackpool on loan from Nottingham Forest and he’s received a welcome message from Arsenal talent Charlie Patino on Instagram.

The left-winger was signed by Forest in the summer. He was immediately sent to Olympiacos for a season-long long; although that has not been cut short.

Bowler found himself down the pecking order under Michel. As a result, the clubs decided his development would be better served elsewhere for the second half of the campaign.

The 23-year-old is very familiar with Blackpool. He spent last season at the club and also played the first seven games of the 2022/23 campaign before joining Forest.

Bowler has played the best football of his career at Bloomfield Road. Now, he joins Michael Appleton’s team, with the club fighting to stay in the Championship.

The youngster will be unavailable to make his second debut for the club on Saturday. They will face Forest in the FA Cup, meaning Bowler will be ineligible.

This looks like a great move for him though. Appleton is a manager who favours young talent and he should get plenty of game time.

Bowler enjoyed a fine season during 2021/22 and was impressive when Blackpool were beaten 2-1 by Forest at the City Ground.

He scored eight times and claimed three assists in total but caught the eye with a number of dazzling displays.

The Arsenal man is currently on loan with Blackpool. The 19-year-old has scored twice and claimed two assists from his 20 appearances this season.

It’s quite exciting for Blackpool fans to think that Patino and Bowler will soon be strutting their stuff in their same team.

After it was announced earlier that Bowler has rejoined the club from Forest, Patino took to Instagram.

He said: “What a sight.”

Forest fans will now be hoping that Bowler can enjoy a confidence-boosting second half of the campaign.

If he does that, there is no reason why he can’t return to the City Ground in the summer and stake a claim for a place.
