Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson has opened up on the relationship he has with Morgan Gibbs-White. The player spoke with the Premier League’s official media team after a 2-0 win over Leicester.
Johnson scored his first goal in open play since August in the Premier League. After opening the scoring by going around Danny Ward he wrapped up the victory with a wonderful strike.

His goals gave his international teammate no chance whatsoever. Johnson took his tally to four for the campaign and he will now hope to kick on and score a few more goals this season.
Gibbs-White deserves immense credit also. He produced two sensational assists for his Forest teammate and the pair are striking up a quite unbelievable partnership.
Johnson has spoken of his relationship on the field with his teammate afterwards. It’s fair to say that the duo have worked on being more cohesive together and Forest should now benefit.
He told the Premier League: “I’m working well with Morgan (Gibbs-White). We are combining well, particularly when we are getting in on the right.”
Johnson opened up on Gibbs-White relationship
It’s not unreasonable to suggest that the new Forest signing is further along the line when it comes to development than Johnson. That is fair though given that Gibbs-White had played in the Premier League before this season.
Johnson is learning all the time, however. With a player like Gibbs-White constantly teeing him up, it shouldn’t be long before he starts weighing in with even more goals.

Both players are massively important to the Forest fortunes. They currently sit 13th in the Premier League and if the duo keep firing on all cylinders, staying up should be a foregone conclusion.
Johnson and Gibbs-White struck up a fantastic partnership at the weekend. Hopefully, there is more to come and the duo can lead the Reds to safety over the coming months.
