BBC Sport pundit Garth Crooks has named Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson in his Team of the Week. The Reds defeated Leicester City 2-0 at the City Ground with the Forest academy graduate at the double.
It was a very good day for the Reds. They were in complete control for large parts of the game, with the Foxes managing just a single shot on target throughout the entire match.
Brendan Rodgers has some serious work to do this season if he’s to keep Leicester afloat. Elsewhere, Steve Cooper’s team are now up to 13th with this victory and can now start to dream of being even higher.

Johnson will be integral to Forest’s fortunes this season. Against Leicester, he scored his first Premier League goals in open play since August when he scored against Everton.
Crooks was impressed. He named him in his BBC Sport Team of the Week and it made a nice change to see a Forest star selected by the pundit.
He claimed: “This kid is a really willing player full of endeavour and effort. He’s caught my eye before but struggled in front of goal. Not so against a Leicester City side who have completely lost their confidence.
Crooks has named Johnson in Team of the Week
The pundit can’t name every Forest player in his team and he has to draw the line somewhere. Morgan Gibbs-White could be forgiven for feeling slightly disgruntled though.
He was fantastic in registering both assists for Johnson. His determination to get Forest moving up the pitch was immense and his creativity really caught the eye.

Johnson does deserve his praise though. He sent Danny Ward for a quick read of the programme and a Bovril with his first goal and then scored his second with absolute aplomb.
The 21-year-old is still a work in progress. It isn’t, however, through a lack of trying with Johnson and certainly since the World Cup, he’s looked far more like the player known and loved by supporters.
